Timberrattlers.com Players of the Month for June 07/06/2009 5:11 PM ET By Jay Grusznski / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers The Timber Rattlers went 13-12 in June, with a team batting average of .227 and a team ERA of 3.34.  The top hitter and pitcher for the Timber Rattlers in June, as selected by timberrattlers.com:   Michael Vass - OF The Brewers' 35th round pick in the 2008 draft, Vass hit .306 (19 for 62) during the month of June to lead the Timber Rattlers.  His slugging percentage, .435, was also tops on the team.  The Chapman University product hit five doubles and a home run while driving in nine runs. Brandon Ritchie - LHP The big lefty from Michigan has been solid all season, but really stood out in June.  He tied for the team lead in wins with three and had a sparkling 0.66 ERA.  A 24th round selection in the 2008 draft, Ritchie allowed only eight hits and one walk in 13.2 innings during the month.    Previous Winners: April: 2B Brett Lawrie and RHP Jim Henderson May: C/1B Corey Kemp and LHP Daniel Meadows This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
